Pre-Maternity Leave

The home stretch of pregnancy can be physically and emotionally challenging. That’s why our disability leave of absence program starts two weeks prior to one’s due date. In addition to pre-maternity leave, maternity leave post birth is six weeks for vaginal deliveries and eight weeks for C-section deliveries.


We offer $25,000 lifetime coverage toward infertility expenses, increased from $15,000.

Group Legal Plan

During Open Enrollment, you have the option to elect Group Legal benefits. With the MetLife Hyatt Legal plan, you’ll get access to more than 11,000 participating plan attorneys for many types of matters, including family law, financial matters, traffic tickets (excluding DUI), and more.

The plan costs $20.45 per month, which is deducted from your paycheck biweekly on a post-tax basis.

Critical Illness Insurance

During Open Enrollment, you have the option to elect Critical Illness insurance, which provides financial support when you or a loved one becomes seriously ill.

Critical illness insurance complements medical coverage by paying a lump-sum in addition to what your medical plan may or may not cover. Upon diagnosis, it provides you with a lump-sum payment of$15,000 or $30,000 in initial benefits*. The total benefit amount available is three times the initial benefit amount ($45,000 or $90,000), in the event that you or a loved one experience more than one covered condition. The payment you receive is yours to spend however you like.

Spouses/domestic partners may be enrolled at 100% of the employee’s benefit amount. Dependent children may be offered a flat benefit amount of $10,000.

Illnesses covered under the policy include:

  • Full Benefit Cancer
  • Heart Attack
  • Stroke
  • Kidney Failure
  • Coronary Artery Bypass Graft
  • Alzheimer’s Disease, and
  • Major Organ Transplant

In addition, critical illness will pay 25% of the initial benefits amount for Partial Benefit Cancer and for22 listed conditions. A covered person may only receive one benefit payment of a listed condition in his/her lifetime. The listed conditions are: Addison’s disease (adrenal hypofunction); amyotrophiclateral sclerosis (Lou Gehrig’s disease); cerebrospinal meningitis (bacterial); cerebral palsy; cysticfibrosis; diphtheria; encephalitis; Huntington’s disease (Huntington’s chorea); Legionnaire’s disease;malaria; multiple sclerosis (definitive diagnosis); muscular dystrophy; myasthenia gravis; necrotizingfasciitis; osteomyelitis; poliomyelitis; rabies; sickle cell anemia (excluding sickle cell trait); systemiclupus erythematosus (SLE); systemic sclerosis (scleroderma); tetanus; and tuberculosis.
