What’s new for 2022?

We’re proud to offer coverage enhancements in areas that can improve your everyday quality of life. These enhancements were derived from our benchmarking exercises, trend monitoring, and your feedback — it’s important that we’re competitively meeting our employees’ needs.

Buy-Up Voluntary Employee Paid Long-Term Disability (LTD) Insurance

  • For 2022, no Evidence of Insurability (EOI) review will be required for new enrollees.
  • As a reminder, this benefit allows you to purchase an additional 6 ⅔% coverage so that the combined LTD benefit from your Core plan and the Buy-Up plan will be a total of 66 ⅔% of your Base Salary up to a maximum monthly benefit of $25,000.


  • We’re now covering annual colonoscopies as preventive or diagnostic care for Sanofi US medical plan participants ages 45–75, according to the American Medical Association (AMA) guidelines.

Dental Coverage

  • We’ve modified the dental individual annual maximum coverage amount of $2,000 to exclude preventive work. This change offers you more robust coverage.

Flexible Spending Accounts (FSAs)

  • Without additional Federal CARES and ARPA regulatory relief provided, FSA provisions are returning back to normal. This means that 2022 funds must be used by March 15, 2023, and claims must be submitted by June 30, 2023. Note: Mid-year 2022 elections will only be allowed with a qualifying life event change.
